Archbold Village Council Defers Data Center Moratorium, Focuses on Zoning Updates
The Archbold village council has decided not to implement a moratorium on data center development, as advised by legal counsel. Village officials confirmed there are no current proposals for such a development. Instead, attention will shift to updating zoning regulations to proactively prevent data centers in the future. Mayor Bradley Grime acknowledged community concerns and emphasized the importance of careful zoning changes while maintaining a commitment to economic development.

The Archbold village council will not implement a moratorium on data center development, following legal advice that it is unnecessary due to the absence of formal proposals. Village Administrator Aaron Alt stated that while a moratorium has been drafted, it is not needed currently.
