Arelion Enhances Nørre Nebel Site for Subsea Cable Expansion
Arelion is upgrading its Nørre Nebel facility to accommodate more subsea cables, supporting the growth of Denmark's digital infrastructure. The upgrades come alongside an anticipated $2.9 billion market by 2030, driven by data center expansion and renewable energy access.

Arelion is enhancing its Nørre Nebel site to facilitate additional subsea cable landings and ensure long-term network scalability. This initiative includes operational front haul, back haul, and horizontal directional drilling (HDD) capabilities for diverse cable landings.
The upgrade is part of Arelion's strategy to link new data centers to its network, including extensions to the atNorth DEN01 data center in Copenhagen. New optical systems between Amsterdam and Kolding will improve traffic routing efficiency. The Danish data center market is projected to reach $2.9 billion by 2030, growing at a CAGR of 11.44%, driven by renewable energy and strategic location advantages, enhancing Denmark's status as a data center hub.
