Argentina Integrates US Stryker Vehicles into Military Operations
Argentina's Army has officially commenced operational deployment of M1126 Stryker 8x8 armored vehicles, following their first live-fire exercise. This integration enhances the 10th Mechanized Brigade's capabilities, marking a significant step in the country’s military modernization efforts.

On March 28, 2026, the Argentine Army conducted its inaugural live-fire exercise with M1126 Stryker 8x8 vehicles, transitioning them to operational status within the 10th Mechanized Brigade. This event is part of a broader modernization initiative initiated by a July 2025 agreement with the United States, which aims to expand the Stryker fleet beyond the initial eight units received in November 2025.
The exercise confirmed crew capabilities in operating the Stryker, utilizing systems such as the Protector remote weapon station. The vehicles are set to improve the Army's rapid response and mobile operations, addressing existing capability gaps. The program faces potential constraints, including budget limitations and logistical challenges, which may hinder future expansion and maintenance support.
