Argentina Resumes $5 Billion Santa Cruz Hydroelectric Dam Complex Construction with ENARSA
Argentina's government has agreed with state energy company ENARSA to restart the Santa Cruz hydroelectric dam complex, ending years of delays. The project, which includes the Jorge Cepernic and Néstor Kirchner dams, requires an additional investment of $5 billion. The Cepernic Dam is prioritized for completion by 2030. The project, initially launched in 2013, faced numerous challenges, including contractor disputes and regulatory issues. The restart signifies Argentina's commitment to stabilizing its energy sector.
