Aris Mining Initiates Puruni Bridge Construction for Toroparu Project
Aris Mining Corporation has begun pre-construction activities for the Toroparu Gold Project in Guyana, including Puruni Bridge works. This project aims to produce 235,000 ounces of gold annually and is expected to generate significant economic benefits for the region.

Aris Mining Corporation has initiated critical pre-construction activities at its Toroparu Gold Project in Guyana, including the construction of a bridge at the Puruni River crossing. The project is projected to produce an average of 235,000 ounces of gold annually, totaling approximately five million ounces over its lifespan, alongside substantial copper and silver outputs.
Aris's prefeasibility study is on track for completion in 2026, potentially facilitating a construction decision in early 2027. Notably, there is an independently planned US$6 million bridge to begin construction in August.
The Toroparu project is anticipated to generate US$14.7 billion in gold sales over 21 years, contributing US$3.4 billion in total earnings to the Government of Guyana. The agreement for the project was finalized in 2020, allowing ETK Inc. to acquire rights while enabling alluvial mining by a local businessman on separate lands.
