Japanese startup ArkEdge Space has launched a new company, WALL, in collaboration with six companies in Wakayama Prefecture. WALL aims to foster a regional space industry by promoting collaboration among local businesses, universities, government institutions, and space stakeholders.

The initiative focuses on human resource development and building capacities essential for sustainable participation in the space sector. As a private-sector-led effort, WALL will connect industry, academia, and government through practical applications. ArkEdge Space will leverage its expertise in micro-satellites to collaborate closely with local entities, supporting the formation of a space industry cluster in Wakayama while sharing knowledge with similar initiatives across Japan.
