Arkema to Expand Kynar® PVDF Production by 20% in Changshu, China, Starting 2028
Arkema announces a 20% expansion of its Kynar® PVDF production capacity at the Changshu site in China, set to start in 2028. This expansion aims to meet the growing demand across key markets, including electric vehicle batteries and energy storage systems. Supported by a global R&D ecosystem, this investment reflects Arkema's commitment to operational excellence and innovation in advanced applications.

Arkema is expanding its Kynar® PVDF production capacity by 20% at its Changshu site in China, with operations expected to begin in 2028. This investment addresses the increasing demand for Kynar® PVDF in markets such as lithium-ion batteries, energy storage systems, high-performance coatings, and semiconductor manufacturing.
The Changshu facility, already Arkema's largest PVDF production site, will operate under high operational excellence standards. The project is backed by Arkema's global R&D network, including centers in China, France, Japan, South Korea, and the United States, fostering collaboration with customers to advance high-performance solutions.
