Arlington County Launches Re-Gen Project for Water Pollution Control Plant Modernization
Arlington County has initiated the Re-Gen project to modernize its Water Pollution Control Plant on South Glebe Road. The multi-year effort aims to enhance facility cleanliness and sustainability. The first phase, 'Early Work Package,' involves preparatory activities such as grading and utility relocation, allowing uninterrupted wastewater treatment. The subsequent 'Main Work Package' is set to begin in late 2026 and continue until spring 2031, focusing on the construction of new solids-handling facilities with advanced systems for renewable resource production.
