Arm Unveils AGI Processor with Up to 136 Cores for Server Market
Arm's AGI processor, featuring 136 cores and rapid memory access, is set for commercial release, targeting AI workloads.

Arm's AGI processor, designed for data centers, will be available in configurations of 64, 128, or 136 Neoverse V3 cores, with clock speeds of 2.8 to 3.7 GHz. Each chiplet contains approximately 50 billion transistors and supports 6 TB of memory per socket, with up to 844.8 GB/s bandwidth.
The processor integrates advanced memory management features, including out-of-order instruction scheduling and programmable memory paging. Additionally, it employs a unique chiplet design to minimize latency, enhancing performance for AI applications.
Commercial shipments are expected to begin in the coming months, potentially doubling performance per rack compared to current x86 systems. The AGI's capabilities may significantly impact server architectures focused on AI workloads, highlighting the need for enhanced resource management in competitive markets.
