Army Rejects 125 MT Milk Powder Consignment from Punjab's Milkfed Over Quality Concerns
The Army has rejected a 125 metric tonnes consignment of whole milk powder from Punjab's Milkfed due to non-compliance with quality standards. Milkfed's Managing Director announced a fact-finding committee to investigate the rejection. Opposition leaders criticized the AAP government, citing concerns over quality control and accountability, questioning the safety of products sold to the public while the Army's supplies were deemed inadequate.

The Army rejected a consignment of 125 metric tonnes of whole milk powder from Punjab's Milkfed, sold under the Verka brand, after samples failed to meet quality standards. Milkfed's MD, Rahul Gupta, stated a fact-finding committee will investigate the issue, asserting that their products undergo testing at NABL-approved labs.
The rejected consignment included 58.338 MT and 66.654 MT. Opposition leaders criticized the AAP government for quality control failures, emphasizing the implications for public health and accountability. Gupta confirmed that Milkfed will have samples tested at a facility in Gujarat.
