Ascenty Signs 110MW Renewable Energy Deal with Casa dos Ventos in Brazil
Ascenty has entered into a renewable energy supply agreement with Casa dos Ventos for 110MW across two projects in Brazil, valued at approximately $500 million. The projects include the Dom Inocencio wind farm in Piaui and the Paraiso solar project in Mato Grosso do Sul, which together have a capacity of over 1.5GW and are expected to start operations in 2027.
As part of the deal, Ascenty will gain equity interest in these projects. The agreement aims to enhance operational flexibility for Ascenty and is projected to help avoid around five million tons of CO2 emissions. Ascenty, a major player in the data center sector, emphasizes the importance of renewable energy for sustaining growth and supporting digital capabilities in Latin America.
