Asia Potash plans to invest $10 billion in a phosphate fertilizer complex in Egypt, with an initial phase of $1.6 billion focused on producing two million tons per year. The project, located between Luxor and Aswan, aims to conclude within 18 months, generating over 3,000 direct jobs.
Sustainability is a key commitment, with plans to use green ammonia for energy. This investment aligns with a projected 3% CAGR in the global phosphate fertilizer market, which could enhance Egypt's agricultural competitiveness. Collaborations with local universities for research centers could further boost innovation and skill development in the sector.
