Asian Development Bank Joins Global Offshore Wind Alliance
The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has officially joined the Global Offshore Wind Alliance (GOWA), aiming to enhance offshore wind development in Asia and the Pacific. This partnership intends to accelerate the deployment of offshore wind resources, supporting energy security and decarbonization efforts in the region.

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) announced its formal membership in the Global Offshore Wind Alliance (GOWA) during the Asia Clean Energy Forum in Manila. This initiative underscores the importance of regional collaboration in advancing offshore wind capacity, with a goal of achieving 2,000 GW of offshore wind by 2050.
ADB's involvement will aid in financing and technical support for member countries, addressing barriers to investment in offshore wind. GOWA, established to mobilize political and financial resources, includes various stakeholders committed to enhancing global offshore wind capacity. The collaboration is expected to accelerate investment and promote sustainable energy transitions.
