ASML to Produce 60 EUV Machines in 2026 Amid Rising AI Chip Demand
ASML aims to manufacture at least 60 extreme ultraviolet (EUV) lithography machines in 2026, driven by increased demand for AI chip production. The company's significant investment in infrastructure and supplier coordination is essential for meeting this surge in demand.

ASML plans to produce a minimum of 60 EUV systems in 2026, significantly up from previous outputs. The company anticipates increasing production capacity to at least 80 systems annually in subsequent phases, responding to a surge in demand for advanced lithography systems tied to AI infrastructure investments.
To support this, ASML is investing approximately $2.2 billion in facilities and workforce development this year, while expanding cleanroom capacities in the US, Germany, and South Korea. Although demand for EUV machines is strong, the adoption of high-numerical-aperture systems is uncertain due to their high costs.
ASML is also enhancing existing systems to boost performance. The company projects annual sales between $42 billion and $47 billion, reflecting robust spending by tech firms.
