Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma inaugurates Star Cement's 2M Tonne Plant in Cachar
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma inaugurated Star Cement's new 2 million tonne plant in Cachar, marking a significant investment in Barak Valley. The plant, utilizing German technology and featuring its own railway siding, aims to enhance regional economic growth and generate employment. Star Cement plans to increase its total production in Assam to 8-10 million tonnes. The CM highlighted ongoing infrastructure projects in Assam, including a Rs 10,000 crore ammonia urea project and an express highway between Guwahati and Panchgram.

Star Cement plans to increase production in Assam to 8-10 million tonnes.
