Assam's Mahila Udyamita Scheme to Benefit 33.5 Lakh Women; PM Modi to Inaugurate Major Projects
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced that approximately 33.5 lakh women will benefit from the Mahila Udyamita Scheme, with funds already disbursed to nearly 29 lakh beneficiaries. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Assam on March 13-14, where he will inaugurate several development projects worth around ₹40,000 crore and distribute land rights certificates to tea garden workers.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma stated that 33.5 lakh women will benefit from the Mahila Udyamita Scheme, with funds already distributed to 29 lakh beneficiaries. Distribution will also occur in Sonai and East Goalpara constituencies.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Assam on March 13-14 to inaugurate development projects, including the 150 MW Kopili Hydro Power Project, and distribute land rights to tea garden workers. During his visit, projects worth ₹40,000 crore will be inaugurated or have foundation stones laid.
