ASUS Exits Smartphone Market to Focus on Business PCs and AI Products
ASUS has announced its exit from the smartphone market to concentrate on business PCs and AI products, as confirmed by chairman Jonney Shih. The company plans to utilize its smartphone team's expertise in Qualcomm chipsets to enhance AI applications, with a strategy dubbed 'All In AI' aimed at various markets. This shift comes after a 100% year-over-year increase in datacenter income in Q3 2025, which now accounts for 20% of overall revenue, surpassing expectations.

ASUS's strategy, called 'All In AI', targets markets from datacenters to consumer products. In Q3 2025, datacenter income rose 100% YoY, representing 20% of overall revenue, exceeding projections, prompting the shift from smartphones to AI.
