Atlas Copco Launches Integrated Hybrid Generator Sets with Diesel and Battery Power
Atlas Copco has introduced Integrated Hybrid generator sets combining diesel engines and battery packs, developed by its Portable Power and Flow division in Spain. Three models, QHS 120 S5, QHS 200 S5, and QHS 250 T4f, offer power outputs of 120 to 250 kVA. These hybrid units, featuring FPT Industrial engines and lithium-ion phosphate batteries, aim to reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. The estimated replacement of 200,000 existing diesel generators in Europe with hybrids could save 3.2 billion liters of diesel annually.

Atlas Copco has launched Integrated Hybrid generator sets that utilize both diesel engines and battery packs, developed by its Portable Power and Flow division based in Spain. The new models include QHS 120 S5, QHS 200 S5, and QHS 250 T4f, with power outputs ranging from 120 to 250 kVA.
These units incorporate FPT Industrial engines and offer lithium-ion phosphate battery storage options of 60 and 100 kWh. The hybrids are projected to significantly reduce fuel use and CO2 emissions, with the potential to save 3.2 billion liters of diesel annually if 200,000 existing diesel units in Europe are replaced. The ECO Controller system manages power distribution and includes battery health checks to enhance longevity.
