Aurania Resources Ltd. published results from 28 samples of the Balangero Nickel-Cobalt Project in Northern Italy, with nickel concentrations ranging from 1560 to 2015 ppm (average 1763 ppm), and cobalt between 81.5 to 108 ppm. The project, historically significant for asbestos mining, is now seen as a viable source of 'green' nickel, crucial for EU metal sourcing goals.

A preliminary economic assessment is in progress, indicating substantial cost reductions due to existing infrastructure. Aurania plans to decide on a preliminary feasibility study before the end of 2026. Current research confirms that samples contain Awaruit and no asbestos.
