Australia Solar Enterprises Proposes Concrete-Free Solar and Battery Project in Queensland
Australia Solar Enterprises (ASE) seeks federal approval for the Tumuruu solar and battery energy storage system in Queensland, featuring a 400 MW PV array and a 2 GWh BESS. The project employs a low-impact PEG mounting system from Jurchen Technology, reducing ecological footprint and installation time. The site, cleared for cattle grazing, will utilize existing transmission lines to supply energy to Brisbane. ASE aims to secure necessary permits for construction, following state approval in late 2023.

Australia Solar Enterprises (ASE) is pursuing federal environmental approval for the Tumuruu solar and battery energy storage system in Queensland's South Burnett region. The project plans to construct a 400 MW photovoltaic array and a 2 GWh battery energy storage system using a concrete-free PEG mounting system from Jurchen Technology.
This system significantly reduces the project's physical and ecological footprint, decreases installation time by up to 40%, and eliminates the need for B-double trucks. The site is currently cleared for cattle grazing and is positioned near existing 275 kV transmission lines. ASE has received state approval and is in the process of securing additional permits and contractor agreements for construction.
