Avangrid Completes Installation of 250,000 Solar Panels at Oregon's Tower Solar Project
Avangrid has finished installing over 250,000 solar panels at its Tower Solar project in Morrow County, Oregon. The 166 MWdc project, supported by SEG Solar's domestic assembly, is set to begin commercial operations later this year, providing energy to the Portland General Electric (PGE) grid and aiding a new data center. Approximately 200 construction jobs were created, and the project is expected to contribute $20 million in taxes for public services.

Avangrid has completed the installation of over 250,000 American-made solar panels at the 166 MWdc Tower Solar project in Morrow County, Oregon. The panels were assembled by SEG Solar at its Houston facility.
The project is expected to achieve commercial operations by the end of 2026 and will supply energy to the Portland General Electric (PGE) grid, supporting a new QTS data center. The project has created about 200 construction jobs, primarily filled by local union labor, and is projected to contribute $20 million in taxes to local services. Tower Solar will participate in PGE's Green Future Impact program for sustainable energy.
