Avantus Launches Aratina Solar Project Phase 1 in California
Avantus has commenced commercial operations of the Aratina 1 project, providing 200 MW of solar power and 500 MWh of energy storage. This initiative supports California's renewable energy goals through long-term agreements with local energy providers.

Avantus' Aratina 1 project in Kern County, California has begun commercial operations, delivering 200 MW of solar power and 500 MWh of energy storage. The project has established long-term power purchase agreements with Central Coast Community Energy and Silicon Valley Clean Energy, ensuring full output to power over 105,000 homes annually.
Construction peaked with approximately 500 jobs created, and ongoing local roles will support its operational life. The second phase, Aratina 2, is currently under construction with over $525 million in financing secured, aiming for completion and operations by year-end. The combined capacity of both phases will reach 350 MW and 952 MWh of storage, enhancing grid reliability and contributing to California's climate objectives.
