Avincis Acquires KN Helicopters to Expand Offshore Wind Support in Europe
Avincis has acquired Danish operator KN Helicopters to enhance its offshore wind support capabilities. The acquisition aims to double Avincis's offshore wind operations by 2030. Europe leads the offshore wind market, targeting 158 GW by 2030. In 2025, Europe approved €34 billion in new wind farm investments, with €22 billion allocated for offshore projects. Helicopters are increasingly utilized for maintenance due to their efficiency and lower carbon footprint. The sector is projected to employ 607,000 people by 2030, with significant growth opportunities identified.
