Aware Super Invests A$460 Million in Skyline JV for APAC Data Center Growth
Aware Super has invested A$460 million in the Skyline JV data center business to bolster digital infrastructure in the Asia-Pacific region, raising its total digital infrastructure investments to over A$6 billion. This investment, representing over 25% of Aware Super's infrastructure portfolio, aligns with the projected demand for up to 20 gigawatts of data center capacity in the region by 2030, driven by cloud and AI technologies. Aware Super's collaboration with DigitalBridge Group builds on previous co-investments in U.S.-based data centers.

Aware Super has invested A$460 million ($314.63 million) in the Skyline JV data center business to enhance its digital infrastructure in the Asia-Pacific region. This investment, which accounts for over 25% of Aware Super's infrastructure portfolio, increases its total digital infrastructure investments to over A$6 billion.
The investment follows a collaboration with DigitalBridge Group, with whom Aware Super co-invested in U.S.-based Switch data centers in 2023. The APAC region is projected to need up to 20 gigawatts of data center capacity by 2030, driven by cloud deployments and AI workloads.
Aware Super's existing investments include Vocus, 2Degrees, Switch, and euNetworks. DigitalBridge has expressed enthusiasm for the partnership in this rapidly growing market.
