AWS and NVIDIA to Deploy 2 Million Additional GPUs by 2028
AWS and NVIDIA are expanding their partnership to deploy 2 million NVIDIA GPUs to meet increasing global AI infrastructure demand. This initiative will enhance AI compute capacity and support a range of workloads across various sectors, including government, startups, and enterprises.

AWS and NVIDIA plan to deploy 2 million additional NVIDIA GPUs across AWS's global infrastructure between 2027 and 2028. This initiative aims to meet the growing demand for AI workloads, enhancing capabilities in agentic AI, scientific discovery, and enterprise automation.
Additionally, the collaboration includes the introduction of NVIDIA Vera CPU-based infrastructure to AWS, and the development of AI factories for the U.S. government featuring 100,000 GPUs for secure federal workloads. New technologies like NVIDIA NVLink Fusion with custom high-bandwidth memory will improve AI performance and efficiency. The expansion reflects a strategic response to the increasing need for secure, scalable AI infrastructure across various sectors.
