Restoration efforts are ongoing, and other AWS zones in the UAE remain operational.

AWS experienced a power shutdown at its data center in the United Arab Emirates after objects struck the facility, causing sparks and a fire at approximately 3:30 PM UAE time. Local fire department crews responded and cut power to extinguish the flames.
AWS reported that restoration efforts are underway but may take several hours. The incident aligns with increased regional tensions due to Iranian missile and drone strikes in response to U.S. and Israeli actions. Other AWS Availability Zones in the UAE continue to operate normally, with no disruption to services outside the impacted zone.
