AWS currently operates two infrastructure regions in India and has announced an $8.3 billion investment in its Mumbai cloud region, projected to contribute $15.3 billion to India's GDP by 2030.

The company has signed letters of intent with six to eight colocation providers, including Sify Technologies and NTT Data, to facilitate this expansion in Mumbai and Hyderabad.
AWS operates two existing infrastructure regions in India and has announced an $8.3 billion investment in its Mumbai cloud region, expected to contribute $15.3 billion to India's GDP by 2030. The Indian public cloud services market is projected to grow from $10.9 billion in 2024 to $30.4 billion by 2029.
