Axel REE Initiates First Field Trial for Rare Earth ISR at Woolrich, Brazil
Axel REE has commenced its first field trial for in situ recovery of rare earth elements at the Woolrich deposit in Brazil's Lithium Valley. This trial marks a transition from exploration to operational development aimed at establishing extraction protocols and enhancing downstream production capabilities.

Axel REE has selected the Woolrich deposit in Brazil's Lithium Valley for its initial field trial focused on in situ recovery (ISR) of rare earth elements. The trial spans approximately 2 hectares and is designed to establish operating parameters critical for wellfield and process design, including reagent consumption and hydraulic control.
Previous magnesium sulphate leach tests indicated favorable metallurgical characteristics, with soluble total rare earth oxide (TREO) grades averaging 464 parts per million. The company plans to integrate field trial data with its broader Caladão resource base as it progresses towards establishing a modular ISR development concept in Brazil. Potential risks include the geological variability and environmental factors affecting the trial's outcomes.
