Axelera AI, a Dutch AI semiconductor firm, has secured over $250 million in funding led by Innovation Industries, marking the largest investment in a European AI semiconductor company. This investment, along with contributions from BlackRock, SiteGround Capital, and others, brings Axelera AI's total capital raised to over $450 million since its inception in 2021.

The company is delivering solutions to its 500th global customer across sectors like defense and agriculture. Axelera AI focuses on AI inference hardware with an edge-first architecture to address energy consumption and cooling challenges in AI infrastructure. The new capital will be used for scaling production and expanding customer support.
