Ayon Energy and TGEM Initiate 250-MW Solar Project in Tajikistan
Ayon Energy and OJSC TGEM have signed an EPC contract for a significant 250-MW solar power plant in Tajikistan. This project supports Tajikistan’s goal of increasing renewable energy capacity amid frequent electricity supply disruptions.

OJSC TGEM has entered into an EPC contract with Ayon Energy for a 250-MW solar power plant in Tajikistan's Khatlon province. This project marks the commencement of one of the country's largest renewable energy initiatives, with a total cost of $250 million for two planned solar plants.
The construction must be completed by August 2026, as per the investment agreement signed in January. The initiative aligns with Tajikistan's 2026-2030 electricity development program, which aims to add at least 1.5 GW of solar capacity to mitigate autumn-winter electricity supply issues, given the current reliance on hydroelectric power plants.
