Azerbaijan Initiates Pipeline Construction for Eyvazli Small Hydropower Plant
Azerbaijan has begun plans for a pipeline to support the Eyvazli Small Hydropower Plant. Azerenerji OJSC is overseeing the tender process to select a contractor, with project costs estimated at 2.99 million manat ($1.76 million). This initiative follows a modest growth in electricity production, with 2025 generation reported at 26.8 billion kWh, a 0.6% increase from 2024.

Azerbaijan is advancing construction plans for a pipeline to support the Eyvazli Small Hydropower Plant, with Azerenerji Open Joint-Stock Company managing the tender process to select a contractor. The estimated project cost is 2.99 million manat ($1.76 million).
This development coincides with a modest increase in the country’s electricity production, which reached 26.8 billion kWh in 2025, marking a 0.6% rise from 2024. Commercial electricity generation accounted for 26 billion kWh, also reflecting a 0.6% year-over-year increase.
