Azerbaijan's ARDNF Partners with BlackRock and GIP for Strategic Infrastructure Investments
The Azerbaijan State Oil Fund (ARDNF) has formalized a long-term strategic partnership with BlackRock and its subsidiary Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP) during the World Economic Forum in Davos. This collaboration aims to enhance Azerbaijan's position in the global financial and infrastructure ecosystem and is set to explore infrastructure-focused investments and joint project opportunities worth up to $1.5 billion over the next 3-4 years.
Key priorities include developing data centers and digital infrastructure to meet rising demands for artificial intelligence technologies. Additionally, the partnership will facilitate knowledge transfer regarding international airport infrastructure, drawing on GIP's expertise from major airports like London Gatwick.
The initiative also aims to establish working groups and technical dialogues to deepen institutional collaboration and enhance local human capital. Overall, this partnership represents a significant step for Azerbaijan towards becoming a regional digital and infrastructure hub.
