Bac Ninh province is poised to assist JA Solar in resuming its suspended photovoltaic cell project, which has faced delays due to US tax policy changes. Chairman Pham Hoang Son highlighted the province's commitment to addressing business challenges and urged JA Solar to collaborate with local departments to resolve investment issues. The project, part of JA Solar's ongoing investment in Bac Ninh since 2016, aims to bolster Vietnam's solar panel industry.

Bac Ninh province is committed to supporting JA Solar in resuming its photovoltaic cell technology project, which has been suspended since October 2024 due to US tax policy affecting photovoltaic products. During a January 28 session, Chairman Pham Hoang Son emphasized the province's readiness to address business challenges efficiently for mutual development.
JA Solar has invested in Bac Ninh since 2016, developing three projects in Quang Chau and Viet Han industrial parks with a total investment of $967 million across nearly 50 hectares. The province urges JA Solar to engage with local departments to resolve specific investment issues.
The project aims to contribute to Vietnam's solar panel industry development. Additionally, Trung Nam Group and Sideros River consortium have been selected to develop the Cà Ná LNG-fired power plant in Khánh Hòa Province, with a capacity of 1,500MW and a total investment of approximately $2.2 billion, scheduled for completion by December 31, 2030.
