Banco BPM Provides €55 Million Financing for Grimaldi Group's New Ship 'Grande Inghilterra'
Grimaldi Euromed S.p.A. has secured a €55 million loan from Banco BPM for the purchase of the new PCTC 'Grande Inghilterra'. This 10-year financing supports Grimaldi's investment plan to modernize its fleet with 17 new vessels worth over $1.6 billion. The ship, currently being built in China and set for delivery in spring 2026, boasts a capacity of over 9,000 CEU and features technologies aimed at reducing environmental impact.

Grimaldi Euromed S.p.A. signed a €55 million financing agreement with Banco BPM to partially fund the purchase of the 'Grande Inghilterra', a new Pure Car & Truck Carrier. The 10-year financing is part of Grimaldi's investment plan for fleet modernization, involving 17 new vessels with a total investment exceeding $1.6 billion.
The 'Grande Inghilterra', under construction in China, is expected to be delivered in spring 2026. It will have a loading capacity of over 9,000 CEU and is designed to be ammonia-ready, reducing carbon emissions. Additional green technologies include lithium batteries, solar panels, and advanced emission control systems.
