Bancolombia CEO Addresses Service Failures and Planned Compensations for Affected Clients
Juan Carlos Mora, president of Bancolombia, explained that recent service failures resulted from a scheduled infrastructure upgrade, specifically the migration of a data center from Medellín to Bogotá. The migration encountered issues, causing disruptions. While services were mostly restored, Mora acknowledged the challenges faced and indicated that compensations for affected customers would be evaluated, although this process may take time.

Bancolombia experienced service disruptions due to a scheduled upgrade involving the migration of its data center from Medellín to Bogotá. This caused issues that were reflected in both cities. While services operated normally on Tuesday and Wednesday, a recommended repair on Wednesday night extended beyond the expected timeframe.
Customers were able to perform basic transactions, but the bank faced interoperability complaints related to the Bre-B system. Mora stated that compensations would be evaluated for affected clients but would require time to implement. Updates on service status will be provided bi-hourly.
