Bangladesh Achieves 275 LEED-Certified Factories, Strengthening Sustainable Manufacturing
Bangladesh has reached a total of 275 LEED-certified factories, with 116 platinum, 140 gold, 15 silver, and 4 certified. Recent certifications include MNR Sweaters Limited (platinum) and Fashion Floor Limited (gold). The country now has 69 of the world's top 100 LEED factories. As of February 2025, 550 factories are awaiting certification. This achievement is expected to attract investments, enhance global competitiveness, and align with environmental standards post-Rana Plaza tragedy.
