Bangladesh Achieves 275 LEED-Certified Factories, Strengthening Sustainable Manufacturing

The number of LEED-certified factories in Bangladesh has increased to 275, including 116 platinum, 140 gold, 15 silver, and 4 certified factories. Recent certifications include MNR Sweaters Limited, which received platinum status, and Fashion Floor Limited, which achieved gold status.

Bangladesh has 69 factories among the world’s top 100 LEED-certified facilities. 550 more factories are awaiting certification. This milestone is anticipated to attract new investments and improve the country’s reputation in sustainable manufacturing, particularly after the Rana Plaza incident. The industry is adapting to global sustainability standards to meet increasing demands for lower environmental impacts.
