Barrow County Secures $2M Grant for Wastewater Facility Expansion
Barrow County has received a $2 million grant from the Appalachian Regional Commission to enhance wastewater processing capacity. This investment aims to support growth along the Highway 316 corridor and improve infrastructure in line with community development needs.

Barrow County will invest approximately $7.6 million from its water and sewer funds to expand the Tanners Bridge Wastewater Treatment Facility. The facility's capacity will increase to 2 million gallons per day, facilitating regional growth.
