BASF Launches Ultrason® P 3010 BMB with Bio-Circular Feedstock for High-Performance Applications
BASF has launched Ultrason® P 3010 BMB, a biomass-balanced PPSU grade incorporating 20% renewable feedstock, aimed at promoting circular economy initiatives. This product allows for the same performance and processing capabilities as traditional materials, enabling industries to reduce fossil resource dependency while meeting sustainability goals.

BASF has introduced Ultrason® P 3010 BMB, a new biomass-balanced polyphenylsulfone (PPSU) grade featuring 20% attributed bio-circular feedstock, produced using 100% green electricity at its Ludwigshafen facility. The material is chemically identical to the standard Ultrason® P 3010, allowing for a drop-in solution without the need for re-qualification or adjustments in manufacturing processes.
Certified under ISCC PLUS, it supports sustainability by replacing part of the fossil-based feedstock with renewable inputs derived from organic waste. Industries such as medical technology, water, and consumer goods can leverage this product to advance their circular economy strategies while maintaining high-performance standards. This launch enhances BASF's portfolio of sustainable materials, following its earlier launch of biomass-balanced Ultrason® E 2010 BMB.
