Bateman Skips Integrates Engine Carbon Clean Technology to Reduce Emissions
Bateman Skips has adopted Engine Carbon Clean technology to enhance fleet efficiency and lower emissions. This integration follows a successful 12-week trial that achieved an average CO₂ and fuel consumption reduction of 19.52% across 41 vehicles.
Bateman Skips has integrated the Engine Carbon Clean technology into its fleet, which includes 16 skip trucks, 3 tippers, and 2 excavators. The technology, owned by Advanced Hydrogen Technologies, was tested by 1stinrail and K2C Rail, yielding significant emissions and fuel efficiency improvements.
The initial trial demonstrated an average reduction of 19.52% in CO₂ and fuel consumption over 12 weeks. With the integration, the cleaning process takes about 60 minutes per vehicle and utilizes hydrogen generated from tap water.
Regular treatments are expected to further reduce emissions, enhance engine efficiency, and minimize maintenance issues. The technology has also shown promising results in the rail sector, indicating its broad applicability across combustion engine operations.
