BCE Accelerates Data Center Construction for AI Solutions Revenue Target of C$1.5 Billion by 2028
BCE Inc. is accelerating its data center construction to support its AI business, aiming for C$1.5 billion in AI-powered revenue by 2028. The company has partnered with Groq Inc. and Cohere Inc. to achieve this goal.
BCE's Bell AI Fabric division, launched in May 2025, is utilizing 73 megawatts of electricity to provide computing power. A data center opened in Kamloops, British Columbia, in June, with another in Merritt set to launch by March.
BCE has announced C$300 million in capital expenditures but is prepared to adjust if growth exceeds expectations. The company has consolidated previous acquisitions into an IT consulting firm, Ateko, and introduced Bell Cyber to enhance cybersecurity using AI.
