Beacon Data Center Changes Water Source Strategy in Dove Creek
Beacon Data Center, now rebranded as Westline, plans to utilize groundwater for daily operations, reversing earlier commitments. This shift raises concerns about the project's leadership integrity and its adherence to initial promises regarding resource usage.

The Beacon Data Center, recently renamed Westline, is set to use groundwater for its operations, contrary to prior assurances. At a public meeting, Vice President Joseph Shovlin indicated that the facility would rely on an on-site well for potable water, reversing an earlier commitment to avoid groundwater extraction.
While the project aims to remain off the grid for power, it will connect to the grid when necessary. This strategy could impact project viability and financial performance, especially if solar incentives are not realized. Stakeholders are now questioning the project's transparency and adherence to initial commitments.
