Beale Infrastructure Proposes 300-Acre Data Center in Gardner, Kansas
Beale Infrastructure has proposed a 300-acre data center campus in Gardner, Kansas, featuring up to 16 data halls. This project aims to enhance regional grid reliability with on-site substations, but faces community opposition over environmental concerns.

Beale Infrastructure is proposing a 300-acre data center campus in Gardner, Kansas, which will feature up to 16 data halls. The development is strategically located near the intersection of 191 Street and South Clare Road and aims to operate on a closed-loop water system, using approximately 20,000 gallons daily.
In comparison, non-closed-loop systems can consume up to five million gallons. The project will also include backup generators but has faced backlash from local groups over potential PM2.5 emissions. The Gardner city council discussed the project in a closed session on April 20, with a community forum scheduled for May 13. The outcome of these discussions may influence future data center developments in the area.
