Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB) has invited expressions of interest for 4,300 MW pumped storage projects in Himachal Pradesh, with a bid submission deadline of January 27, 2026. The projects include a 2,800 MW PSP in the Pong reservoir and a 1,500 MW PSP in the Bhakra reservoir.

Bidders must identify developers, suggest project configurations, and address risk allocations. Responses will inform BBMB's future tenders. BBMB also manages major hydroelectric projects, including Nangal, and plans to use existing reservoirs for new PSP constructions.
