BHEL Invites Bids for 1.13 MW Rooftop Solar and Energy Storage Project
BHEL is seeking bids for a rooftop solar project with an integrated energy storage system, with a submission deadline of May 14, 2026. This project aims to enhance renewable energy capacity at the Ramachandrapuram facility in Hyderabad, emphasizing the trend towards sustainable energy solutions in industrial sectors.

Bharat Heavy Electricals (BHEL) has issued a tender for a 1,130 kW rooftop solar project, which includes a 4,520 kWh battery energy storage system at its facility in Hyderabad. Bidders are required to submit proposals by May 14, 2026, with bid opening on the same day.
An earnest money deposit of ₹2 million (~$21,092) and a tender fee of ₹1,000 (~$11) are mandatory. The chosen developer will handle the project's design, engineering, installation, and maintenance, along with the integration of various systems. A 25-year power purchase agreement will govern the electricity supply to BHEL, marking a significant investment in renewable infrastructure.
