Bilfinger Secures Contract for BP's Green Hydrogen Plant in Lingen, Germany
Bilfinger has been awarded a contract to assemble and install components for BP's new green hydrogen plant in Lingen, Germany. The facility will have a capacity of 100 megawatts and is expected to produce 11,000 tons of green hydrogen annually by 2027. It will operate on renewable energy and supply hydrogen to industrial customers and a nearby refinery. Over 200 Bilfinger specialists will be involved in the project.

Bilfinger has contracted to deliver prefabrication, assembly, and installation services for BP's new 100-megawatt green hydrogen electrolyzer in Lingen, Germany. Expected to be operational by 2027, the facility aims to produce up to 11,000 tons of green hydrogen annually using renewable energy.
The hydrogen will be available for industrial customers and could support lower-emission fuel production at a neighboring refinery. Bilfinger's responsibilities include the installation of piping, thermal insulation, and HVAC systems, with a peak workforce of over 200 specialists. This project enhances Bilfinger's role in Germany's hydrogen infrastructure.
