Binatural Advocates Biodiesel for Data Centers in Brazil
André Lavor, CEO of Binatural, promotes biodiesel as an energy solution for Brazilian data centers, highlighting its production capacity of 600 million liters per year. The company aims to replace conventional fuels in various sectors, anticipating opportunities for a 100% transition to biodiesel.

Binatural, led by CEO André Lavor, supports the adoption of biodiesel for energy generation in data centers, noting that it can directly replace conventional fuels without modifications. The company's production capability stands at 600 million liters annually, targeting sectors like thermoelectric power, maritime and rail transport, and mining, which traditionally rely on fossil fuels.
The Brazilian energy matrix is predominantly renewable, with nearly 90% from hydropower, wind, and solar sources, but these have inconsistent supply, creating demand for biodiesel-powered generators in emergencies. Binatural is also exploring higher biodiesel blends beyond the legal minimum of 15%, testing B30 in mining and B24 in navigation, while positioning itself to reduce greenhouse gas emissions significantly.
