Bintai Kinden Secures RM44.65 Million Contract from TNB, Boosts Order Book
Bintai Kinden Corporation Bhd has obtained a RM44.65 million contract from Tenaga Nasional Bhd, enhancing its order book to RM199 million. This contract is significant as it is the first from TNB following the company's exit from PN17 status, reflecting improved financial stability and operational capacity.

Bintai Kinden Corporation Bhd has secured a RM44.65 million contract from Tenaga Nasional Bhd, increasing its order book to RM199 million. The project includes asset replacement and refurbishment, as well as the installation of a 1x240MVA autotransformer at the PMU 275/133kV Bukit Tengah substation in Penang, set for completion in 730 days.
The company is also pursuing RM2.08 billion in tenders, indicating robust growth potential. This contract marks a pivotal moment for Bintai Kinden post-restructuring, reinforcing its recovery and positioning in the power sector, despite challenges faced in 2023.
