Black Rock Mining has awarded an $11 million bulk earthworks contract for the Mahenge graphite project in Tanzania, with early works commencing immediately after regulatory approval. The project has a resource estimate of 213Mt at 7.8% TGC and ore reserves of 70Mt at 8.5% TGC, aiming for an average production of ~347,000tpa over a 26-year mine life.

The contract includes $0.9 million for initial works and $10.1 million for construction following a final investment decision (FID). The contract aligns with the front-end engineering design update, facilitating critical site preparations for rapid construction post-FID.
