Blue Arc to Establish Sri Lanka's First Containerised Substation Facility for Global Exports
Blue Arc Manufacturing, facilitated by Sri Lanka's Board of Investment, will build the country's first containerised substation facility aimed at global markets. The operation will manufacture skid substations and switch rooms for Australia's mining and construction sectors, focusing on high-specification demand. Products will be fully assembled and quality-certified in Sri Lanka before export. This initiative is expected to enhance local supply chains and support advanced engineering exports.

Sri Lanka is advancing its electrical infrastructure with Blue Arc Manufacturing establishing the nation's first containerised substation facility targeting global markets. Under a new agreement, Blue Arc will produce skid substations and switch rooms, primarily for Australia's mining and construction industries.
These products will be fully assembled and tested in Sri Lanka, allowing for rapid deployment in various projects. The initiative aims to enhance local supply chains, integrating components sourced from several countries while fostering local assembly and quality assurance. Blue Arc plans to expand into solar and hydropower sectors and explore new markets in the UK, India, and New Zealand, marking a significant shift towards advanced engineering exports for Sri Lanka.
