Blue Energy Receives Investment from Constellation to Advance Nuclear Project Financing and Manufacturing
Blue Energy secured a strategic investment from Constellation Technology Ventures to enhance the deployment of prefabricated nuclear power plants. This partnership aims to address financing and construction challenges in the nuclear sector, facilitating faster and more predictable project timelines.

Blue Energy has announced a strategic equity investment from Constellation Technology Ventures, marking the latter's first investment in a U.S. developer of small modular reactors (SMRs). This investment aims to facilitate project financing and accelerate the deployment of prefabricated nuclear power plants using proven reactor technology.
Earlier in 2026, Blue Energy raised $380 million and partnered with GE Vernova to develop a gas-to-nuclear project incorporating BWRX-300 reactors. The company reached a licensing milestone with the U.S.
Nuclear Regulatory Commission, aiming to deliver power in 48 months. Early site work in Texas is planned for 2026, with a final investment decision expected in 2027. This development is crucial as electricity demand rises, particularly from data centers and industrial growth, emphasizing the need for innovative financing and project delivery models in nuclear energy.
